The Poplok family of fold and tuck tray forming machines for display trays and shippers are engineered to automatically form die cut trays at rates up to 1,200 per hour. The PopLok is commonly used for two applications:

Shippers & Mailers: Ideal for e-commerce and home delivery, the PopLok forms die cut blanks into finished lidded trays that are convenient for mailing while greatly reducing manual labor.

POPLOK TRAY CLOSER

Fully automate your tray forming and packing processes with the PopLok tray closer, the ultimate solution for sealing lidded trays with unmatched precision and efficiency. The automatic incoming tray control gate ensures trays enter the system “short-side” leading, optimizing the sealing process.

First, the tray dust flaps are folded 90 degrees and neatly tucked into the tray. As the tray moves to the next station, plow bars expertly guide the lid to a closed position. In the final steps, the front lip minor flaps are gracefully folded and securely tucked into front slots. The last compression station applies the perfect amount of pressure to seal the front flap with precision.

POPLOK TOP SHEET FEED

FOR LARGE TRAYS

The PopLok TSF (Top Sheet Feed) fold and tuck tray former is engineered for some of your largest tray forming needs for display, retail, e-commerce and automotive parts. Designed to take a tray blank, one at a time, from the hopper, and pull it through forming plows, erecting the side and end panels of the tray, while at the same time folding in the minor flaps. When the tray reaches the bottom of the vertical travel, a set of pneumatically controlled bars fold and lock the roll-over flap in place. The finished tray is then ejected from the machine. Large corrugate blanks from the top of the X-Lift hopper are transferred with a servo-driven handling mechanism to the folding and forming section of the machine.

When the transfer mechanism is in place, a set of vacuum cups takes the blank and pulls it through forming plows, erecting the side and end panels of the tray, while at the same time folding in the minor flaps. When the tray reaches the bottom of the vertical travel, a set of pneumatically controlled bars fold and lock the roll-over flap in place. The finished tray is then ejected from the machine.
